I have followed your successful career as a Minster and as a Chairperson for your country’s Parliament. Please accept my warmest congratulations for being elected as President of Singapore.

Your country’s International standing is far greater than its size and population. It is a quality that matters.

Although you will be President for all the citizens of Singapore with commitment to citizen equality, the fact that you are a Moslem and a Lady, will honour your gender and the community of Moslems.
